Upon arrival check into Mai Chau Lodge and enjoy the lodge’s facilities.

This morning cycle around the surrounding the low lying villages and wave to the locals out in the fields. After lunch, drive to the H’mong village of Sa Linh and take a three hour hike along jungle paths to Hang Kia village, where you will stay overnight with a local family.

Today get off the beaten track as you trek through tropical rainforest, using local tracks and passing through cornfields as you descend into the valley of Mai Chau. Late in the afternoon arrive at Van village and spend the night in a traditional house. Enjoy dinner with your host family and afterwards try some of the local homemade rice wine!

Trek this morning to Xam Khoe village for a quick chat and where a vehicle will transport you to Mai Chau Lodge. Relax with a swim in the pool or take a enjoy the Jacuzzi.

26 December 2024 ★★★★★The host of our hotel in Saigon (Stephen from the My Way hotel) booked us a tailor-made stay in the Mekong Delta. We didn't worry about anything and the stay met our expectations. The first day we visited the Mekong Delta by boat (Ben Tre and Can Tho) with many tastings. We spent the night in a 4 star hotel with swimming pool in Can Tho. The next day we visited the floating market on the Mekong (coffee on a shopping boat and breakfast at the hotel). In the afternoon we were taken by taxi to a port near Soc Trang which allowed us to take the boat early the next day to go to the island of Con Dao. It is a magnificent island where we were able to hike and enjoy the beautiful views. A great stay, thank you Stephen
