Month-by-Month Weather & Regional Travel Guide

Best Time to Visit Vietnam

There is no single best time to travel to Vietnam — because the country spans multiple distinct weather systems across its coastline and lush interior highlands.

When the north in Hanoi and Sapa is cool and clear, the central coast in Hoi An may be experiencing late rains, while tropical beaches in Phu Quoc enjoy blue skies.

The Ultimate Month-by-Month Vietnam Travel Planning Guide

Despite being a relatively small country, Vietnam holds a variety of climates that differ depending on location. Within its over 3,200 kilometres of coastline and dense tropical inland, three distinct weather patterns can be found. Use the guide below to identify the ideal time to visit your chosen region.
