Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Bangkok

On arrival in Thailand, you'll be met by your private guide, who will accompany you to your hotel.

Day 2 - Street food walking tour

You'll be driven through Bangkok's old town to the City Hall to start your street food experience, stopping first at Wat Suthat, one of the city's oldest and largest Buddhist temples, and the towering red pillars of the 'Giant Swing'. Wander through the small streets of Phraeng Phuthon, a protected heritage neighbourhood lined with preserved colonial shophouses. From local stalls, sample traditional Thai coffee, vegetable-stuffed dumplings, and a popular Thai dessert. Drop into a local market to marvel at the variety of fresh seafood and tropical fruits, with your guide at hand to identify any foods you don’t recognise! We recommend trying the homemade coconut ice-cream made from a family recipe that has been handed down through generations. Take a break from eating to visit the Taoist Tiger God shrine, guarded at the door by two tiger statues, and a Buddha manufacturer - a somewhat surreal workshop full of Buddha icons in various sizes and forms. From here it’s just a short walk back to the Giant Swing, where you'll be driven back to your hotel. The rest of your day will be at leisure.

Day 3 - Car & boat to Koh Chang

Drive to Trat where you will board the ferry to Koh Chang. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and the remainder of your day will be at leisure to kick back and relax.

Days 4 & 5 - Enjoy a few days R&R;

Your days will be at leisure to relax and dig your toes in the sand.

Day 6 - Relax on Koh Kham, boat to Koh Mak

After a leisurely morning, your guide will escort you by boat to Koh Kham, a pretty private island which boasts a powdery white sand beach, where you can spend the next few hours relaxing, swimming and enjoying lunch. Later in the afternoon, take the boat to your hotel on Koh Mak, where the remainder of your day will be at leisure.

Day 7 - Koh Rang Snorkelling

Take a boat trip to the islands of Koh Rang, 12 small uninhabited islands which are popular with divers and snorkel enthusiasts due to excellent marine life, beautiful coral reef and crystal clear waters. Pass deserted, picture-postcard beaches, enjoy an on-board picnic lunch, and stop to explore the underwater world (snorkelling equipment will be is provided). Return to Koh Mak by mid-afternoon, whence the remainder of your day will be at leisure.

Day 8 - Beach time!

Your day will be at leisure to relax on the beach.

Koh Kood - 3 nights

Quieter and less developed than neighbouring Koh Chang, Koh Kood is frequently touted as the most beautiful island in Thailand, and having spent time on its pristine white-sand beaches and crystal clear waters, we’re inclined to agree. Days here are spent relaxing, snorkelling and kayaking; evenings are similarly low key. Your entire stay will be entirely at leisure, apart from a tour of the island with your guide.

Day 9 - Boat to Koh Kood

Take a boat to Koh Kood, where, on arrival the remainder of your day will be at leisure to relax on the island's pristine white-sand beaches and swim in its' crystal clear waters.

Day 10 - Island Tour

Your guide will meet you in a songthaew, the local form of transport, to visit some of the island’s most attractive beaches, and a waterfall hidden deep in the forest. After time to swim in the clear waters at the base of the waterfall, stop at a fishing village which is home to both Thai and Cambodian residents for stroll and an insight into local island life. It's very much a working fishing village, with no tourist souvenir shops and just a handful of seafood eateries. After lunch at a local restaurant, return to your hotel, where the rest of your day will be at leisure.

Day 11 - More beach time

One final day of R&R.; Soak up the serenity!

Day 12 - Boat to the mainland, depart Bangkok

Depart by ferry to Trat, where you will be met and driven to Bangkok airport for your onward flight.

We took a 16-day private tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. The tour company suggested a detailed itinerary, and we accepted it with minor changes. We had three domestic flights, and on every landing were met by our local guide on arrival. All guides spoke fluent English and were very knowledgeable. This was a trip of a lifetime. Dont miss the Red Bridge cooking school class in Hoi An - the chef has created a phenomenal program that starts with the tour of the local market and explanation of the vegetables and spices used in local cuisine. Highly recommended!

My family and I completed a 12 day cycling trip with Vietnam Private Tours, and we had a blast. Our route started in Saigon, rode along the Mekong river, discovered Mekong delta, and relaxed on the Phu Quoc beaches is southern Vietnam. We loved the adventurous off-road routes, and we were comfortable the whole way thanks to the excellent support staff. We also loved supporting Vietnam Private Tours because of the amazing work they do with many charities, especially the incredible children’s hospital in Mekong delta.

We just finished a 14-day cycling tour from Saigon to Siem Reap, spending 7 nights on board the Mekong River. We rode bikes 30k to 70 km daily, to the Mekong Delta rice fields. My Way Travel really understood that not everyone would will to ride, so they already made provision for people who didn’t ride with us. The guides were excellent and so was the trip. We really loved the boat, it had everything we needed on it. A group of 16 people were accommodated in 8 cabins, which means there were 2 people in a cabin. The food and drinks were all in abundance. Free Wi-Fi and laundry service were available too. The local people were amazingly friendly, and the environments really gave us a sense of relief. The hotels at either end of the trip were exemplary. Above all, we have made our minds to always use My Travel on every trip occasion, due to the great experience we had with them.

Had an awesome time biking to Mekong Delta from Saigon last week. Beautiful views, peaceful rural paths, and lots of cool stops. The guides took great care of us. Definitely recommend VPT for biking in Mekong Delta and other tours in Vietnam.
