Day 1
Arrive Kathmandu

On arrival in Kathmandu, your guide will meet you and accompany you to Dwarika’s Hotel - a welcoming oasis of calm amid the hubbub. Welcome to My Way Travel! This level of personal service (such as private transfers, private tours etc) is what you can expect throughout your trip. A few services (eg boat cruises) will be shared, but we'll always make sure you're aware of these.

The remainder of your day will be at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities, take a dip in the outdoor pool, or treat yourself to a relaxing massage at the Himalayan Spa.

Day 2
Historic tour of Kathmandu, Dwarika’s 12-course Nepali feast

Immerse yourself in Kathmandu’s history with a morning exploring several ancient sites. Start with a wander around Durbar Square - the traditional heart of the capital where the city’s kings were once crowned - through a labyrinth of lanes lined with shrines, temples, teahouses and markets, with your guide pointing out places of interest. See the Hanuman Dhoka (Kathmandu’s Royal Palace); Itum Bahal, which boasts the largest ‘bahal’, or Buddhist monastery courtyard, in the old town; and the intricately carved Kumari Chowk, home to the young Kumari or living goddess.

Hike to one of Kathmandu’s most iconic sites: UNESCO-listed Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple, which offers a fascinating mix of Buddhist iconography and Hindu deities, and an extraordinary eye mural looking down over the Kathmandu Valley. In the afternoon, head back to Dwarika’s Hotel for some leisure time before enjoying the evening’s legendary 12-course Nepali feast. You may want to eat lightly during the day in preparation!

Day 3
Fly to Pokhara

Once in Pokhara, your guide will take you to the Tiger Mountain Lodge: a relaxed retreat offering extraordinary views of snow-capped peaks and misty valleys from its lofty location. Take the rest of your day at leisure to relax and settle into the Lodge, where you’ll likely be tempted into the inviting infinity pool and those spectacular mountain panoramas.

Days 4 & 5
Adventure activities in Pokhara

Take pre-breakfast tea and homemade biscuits on your veranda as you soak up the picturesque surroundings, with the distant mountains glowing in the morning sun - a pretty fantastic way to start the day!

The range of activities on offer at Tiger Mountain Lodge means you can be as adventurous or easy-going as you wish. Hike along shorter, nearby trails through farmland and local villages, or opt for a full day’s trek along a more challenging route for rewarding panoramic views. Thrill-seekers can go white-water rafting on the Upper Seti River, or paraglide on thermals above Sarangkot Hill. If all that sounds a bit too energetic, then enjoy whiling away blissful hours by the pool instead.

Day 6
Drive to Chitwan National Park, afternoon activity

Depart Pokhara in the direction of the Indian border, to Chitwan National Park. Arrive at your lodge on the outskirts of the National Park in time for lunch, and take time to unwind before embarking upon an afternoon of personalised activities.

Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge takes a unique approach to its activities, and your experience will be entirely tailored to your own preferences and wishes. You could go wildlife spotting by boat along the Narayani River, by open-top jeep, or on foot through the jungle, which is a particularly exhilarating experience. The lodge naturalists have recorded over 300 species of bird in the surrounding habitats and you can join them for a bespoke bird-watching tour. You can also visit nearby Tharu villages to learn about the region’s indiginous traditions and talk with locals about daily life in their farming communities

Day 7
Explore Chitwan National Park

Immerse yourself in your choice of activities in and around Chitwan National Park. Your day can be as fully-packed or relaxed as you wish. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a dawn-to-dusk itinerary - the lodge is a wonderfully serene setting, and you can easily spend a few hours just relaxing by the pool or swaying in a hammock in the gardens.

Days 8
Travel to Dhulikhel, unwind at Dwarika’s Resort

Head to Bharatpur airport for your flight to Kathmandu, and travel on to Dhulikhel. Your accommodation for the next few days will be at the sumptuous Dwarika’s Resort, with its serene atmosphere and inspiring mountain views - a perfect place to relax and reflect. Enjoy Ayurvedic-inspired treatments in the renowned Pancha Kosha Himalayan Spa, consult the onsite Ayurvedic doctor, and visit experts in meditation, naturopathy, yoga and astrology. Dwarika’s has a specially-designed maze to enhance morning meditations, and a peaceful healing room constructed from Himalayan salt. Away from the spa, there are art, pottery and cooking classes to take part in, and walking trails to explore both in the resort grounds and beyond.

Days 9 & 10
At leisure in Dhulikhel

Take the next couple of days at your own pace, unwinding in the resort or heading out to explore the town and surrounding hills. Combine the natural serenity of the resort’s idyllic location with its wellness-focused facilities and home-grown produce, and take time to discover more about Dhulikhel’s history and culture.

Day 11
Depart from Kathmandu

After breakfasting with a last, lingering look at the snow-capped Himalayan peaks on the horizon, travel to Kathmandu for your onward flight.

We took a 16-day private tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. The tour company suggested a detailed itinerary, and we accepted it with minor changes. We had three domestic flights, and on every landing were met by our local guide on arrival. All guides spoke fluent English and were very knowledgeable. This was a trip of a lifetime. Dont miss the Red Bridge cooking school class in Hoi An - the chef has created a phenomenal program that starts with the tour of the local market and explanation of the vegetables and spices used in local cuisine. Highly recommended!

My family and I completed a 12 day cycling trip with Vietnam Private Tours, and we had a blast. Our route started in Saigon, rode along the Mekong river, discovered Mekong delta, and relaxed on the Phu Quoc beaches is southern Vietnam. We loved the adventurous off-road routes, and we were comfortable the whole way thanks to the excellent support staff. We also loved supporting Vietnam Private Tours because of the amazing work they do with many charities, especially the incredible children’s hospital in Mekong delta.

We just finished a 14-day cycling tour from Saigon to Siem Reap, spending 7 nights on board the Mekong River. We rode bikes 30k to 70 km daily, to the Mekong Delta rice fields. My Way Travel really understood that not everyone would will to ride, so they already made provision for people who didn’t ride with us. The guides were excellent and so was the trip. We really loved the boat, it had everything we needed on it. A group of 16 people were accommodated in 8 cabins, which means there were 2 people in a cabin. The food and drinks were all in abundance. Free Wi-Fi and laundry service were available too. The local people were amazingly friendly, and the environments really gave us a sense of relief. The hotels at either end of the trip were exemplary. Above all, we have made our minds to always use My Travel on every trip occasion, due to the great experience we had with them.

Had an awesome time biking to Mekong Delta from Saigon last week. Beautiful views, peaceful rural paths, and lots of cool stops. The guides took great care of us. Definitely recommend VPT for biking in Mekong Delta and other tours in Vietnam.
