Grand Pioneers operates two sister ships on Halong Bay, Grand Pioneers I and II, among the newest and largest luxury cruises on the bay. Design & Life On Board

Grand Pioneers II stretches almost 110 metres across seven decks, suites built around large windows and private balconies that frame the bay rather than compete with it. Days start early with tai chi on the sundeck as mist lifts off the water, then kayaking through hidden lagoons or paddling into caves too shallow for the main ship. Afternoons might mean a stop at Da Xep Park or a floating fishing village, before evenings wind down with sunset drinks, karaoke, or simply staying put at the sky bar until the last color drains from the sky.

Cabins & Suites

Nine suite categories run from the 30m² Ocean Suite to the 109m² President's Suite. Most sit around 40m², with private balconies and full-length windows, the Pearl Suite adding a round bed and open bathtub facing the water. At the top, the President's Suite is its own apartment, with a private bar, dining area, and sauna.

Dining

Meals move between Dining by the Bay and BayView restaurant, both leaning into fresh Vietnamese seafood alongside international staples, while the Prestige Dining Club offers a quieter setting for special occasions. Evenings are best spent in the Voyage Wine & Cigar Lounge or the Rhythm of the Bay rooftop sky bar, cocktails and open views over the water long after dinner ends.
